14 Sep

Congratulations to Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. The incumbent as of 10pm EST on Tuesday, September 13th had a 52% lead over 5 other contenders for office including Senator Catherine Pugh, Otis Rolley, Jody Landers, and Wilton Wilson.

Here are the results courtesy of WBAL Live Feed:

10:20 pm numbers
Mayor Baltimore City Dem – Primary
170 of 290 precincts – 59 percent
x-Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (i) 22,088 – 52 percent
Catherine Pugh 10,991 – 26 percent
Otis Rolley 5,159 – 12 percent
Joseph Landers 2,607 – 6 percent
Frank Conaway 1,207 – 3 percent
Wilton Wilson 144 – 0 percent

According to the Baltimore Sun Twitter Page, as the day went on low numbers of eligible voters were attending the polls, insenuating that the voting numbers for this election were very low ( the twitter page of the Baltimore Sun says that only 7% of eligible voters in Baltimore City voted) a.k.a people in Baltimore did NOT come out and vote….disappointing!
